  Thank you Angus for pointing out the pseudo-morality of their so called Biblical "ethics"! Not reporting an accusation of Child Abuse is just plain bad. However, after having investigated and determining that Child Abuse has occurred - and then STILL not reporting it - is truly abhorrent.

  Need the hardest evidence possible that humans have lived for more than 6000 years

  since coming out of the witnesses, i have gone through a transformation in thought and in mind.

  i started with the usual: i thought that jesus was god.

  then i investigated more about the bible and thought that the bible was not true, given the many contradictions, failed prophecies, etc.. then i investigated evolution and read lots and now i accept evolution and natural selection as things that are true.. now, i need to make my dad rethink everything.

  I've watched at least a dozen of Carrier's debates where other Historians and Theologians have tried to argue for the existence of a historical Jesus. In every single case Carrier has torn their arguments to shreds. The more I hear Carrier speak - the more I'm leaning towards the position that the story of Jesus was told so many times people started to believe he was an actual person - but he may well never have existed to begin with.

  There's the Cheddar Man (not a fossil - actual bones) whose age is 9,000 years old which has been verified by both mitochondrial DNA and radiometric dating. Both are solid dating methods on their own but when used together two independent dating methods getting the same age (convergent data sets) makes the evidence incontrovertible.

  You understand that a network choosing not to run a TV show is not the same thing as banning the show right? No body is saying that videos of Dukes and Hazard cannot be aired, sold, or that you have to burn all your personal videos.

  If a network doesn't want to air a show on their network that is THEIR decision. I don't cry foul just because the latest iteration of Stargate doesn't get picked up or because no one shows Star Trek Voyager reruns anymore. These are businesses being conscientious of what people WANT to watch. It's not a statement about what people can and cannot watch.

  The only thing worse than the PC police are the "my rights are being oppressed because some people say happy holidays instead of merry christmas" people. Freedom of speech is not freedom of criticism. Nor is it freedom from contrary views.
